GAH! this thing keeps eating my posts...
grrrrrhateyouhateyouhateyou!!! I just typed so much stuff, and now it's all lost because of this stupid computer/website/whatever!!! ARRRRGGGGHHHHH! Frustrating, that. Especially since I was checking on something else, and I'm not sure what all I had written here. Bleh.
Paper Wings
errant philosopher, swallow my misery!
and remember not
my sadistic soliloquy of tragedy
as i strove to fly with paper wings
[reaching for heavenly glory]
whilst darkness fell, a hammer-stroke.
endlessly, poisoned stars weep
in whitest disgrace
never offering jagged comfort,
only bitter light imbrued
with cerulean despair
in memory of my blasphemy.
humbled, i await Charon
my face covered in fragile crimson lace
eyes sown shut with spiderwebs
and a silver dollar
on my lying tongue.
the sanguine rose has fallen
over all there is left to unsay...
